2006 Day Camp Volunteer Registration

ImageThe 2006 Mountain District Day Camp is the week of June 5th. The program is being developed and we need volunteers. We need den leaders, range masters, crafty folk, and people to watch the tots.

Older Boy scouts are needed as den chiefs to assist the adult den leaders and their assistants. If you have a willing Boy Scout, please be sure that they are responsible enough to assist in a day camp atmosphere. Also Boy Scouts considering this position need to be able to help and respond to our younger scouts who are very impressionable. Age 16 and over unless scout & parent have been given permission by the directors.

You will find the volunteer registration below. Please contact Kat Oliver about volunteering.

Thanks,

Robert

Service Opportunities - Tellico and Hiwassee Cleanup
ImageFor the last few years, my family and few other scouts and scouters have participated with other volunteers in the Tellico and Hiwassee River cleanup projects. There have always been scouts and scouters there, but there could be more, especially at the Hiwassee cleanup since we use it often. Information about the cleanups are below. We generally camp these weekends. Although not mentioned below, Cub Scouts generally clean along Spring Creek  on the Hiwassee weekend as it is off the beaten path and has less traffic. Thanks for your consideration.
