2007 District Pinewood Derby |
|
 The district pinewood derby will be held in March 2007. If you are interested in participating on this committee, we will have our first meeting on November 4th at 2:30 at the Panera in Hixson. At this time we will review the rules from last year (download here), and venue options. I look forward to seeing each of you there and making the district derby one the boys will remember forever.
If you want to be part of this committee and cannot be at this meeting, please let me know so that I will keep you informed.

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Training |
 The Introduction to Outdoor Leader Training course is scheduled for
November 17-19, 2006 at the YMCA facility on beautiful Lake Ocoee, in
Polk County. At this time, only one person is registered.
We need 36 for this course to make.
This course is intended for every adult leader in every Boy Scout
Troop, Venture Crew, and Webelo den. It is designed to provide a
working knowledge of the basic outdoor skills necessary to succeed as a
Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster or Weblo leader. Outdoor skills are
critical to the success of the Scouting program, and Introduction to
Outdoor Leader Skills will provide leaders with basic outdoor skills
information.
Jr. Assistant Scoutmasters can also benefit from this course.

When: Saturday, November 11from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Where: Mile Straight Baptist—Old Dayton Pike—Soddy Daisy
Cost per Scout: $7.00 + canned good(s). Early bird by Oct. 25th
$10.00 + canned good(s). By November 1st Bring canned goods to Scout office with pre-registraion
Leaders, bring your Scouts to a fun and exciting advancement day. Canned goods will be donated to the Community Kitchen.

November 2006 Committee and Roundtable Meetings |
|
 The November District Committee and Roundtable meeting will be held at Mile Straight Baptist Church on Thursday, November 2nd. The District Committee meeting starts at 6:00 PM and the Roundtable meetings start at 7:00 PM. We will recognize Gary Griffin for his service to our district, so please plan on attending. We'll have more details about the meeting as it develops.

October Mountain District Cub Roundtable Notes |

We use various sources to build our roundtable notes each month. Because of confusion with scheduling and location changes, we weren't able to build a custom set of roundtable notes. One of the sources we use is the roundtable notes from the Black Swamp Area Council. Click here to download a copy of their notes.
