Boy Scouts of America’s Centennial Commemorative Coin Receives Presidential Approval
DALLAS, October 16, 2008—President Bush recently signed into law the Boy Scouts of America Centennial Commemorative Coin Act (H.R. 5872) which authorizes the minting of 350,000 silver dollar coins in recognition of BSA’s 100th Anniversary in 2010. Only two commemorative coins are selected for U.S.
A Dozen More Leaders Trained
A dozen leaders spent their lunch break during Mountain District's Cub and Partner weekend at Skymont to take leader specific training. Thanks for taking the time to get trained. Every boy deserves a trained leader.
Membership Incentive
Calling new Scouts! Any Scout who gets a friend to join Scouting by Friday, December 5th, will not only receive a Centennial Recruiter patch, but that Scout will be entered in a drawing for either an Annual Pass to the Tennessee Aquarium or a Coleman two-man dome tent! Cub Leader Training at Skymont
The Mountain District Training Team will be conducting Leader Specific Training at Skymont this week end, Saturday 18 October 08 starting 11:00 AM and lasting about three hours. You may attend one of the following; Tiger Den Leader, Cub Scout Den Leader, Cubmaster, or Committee Member. Training will be conducted in the Dining Hall.
